Zachary's Newborn Photo's

We are so lucky to have an amazing gal in our ward who takes amazing pictures. She offered to take Zachary's newborn pictures and they turned out amamzing. Thank you so much Jaime!!

Zachary's Baby Blessing

We had Zachary's blessing at my parents house on September 13th. We were able to have lots of family here with us for the wonderful day. Jonathan's parent's and brother, my sister, her husband and their little boy (from Utah), my grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins. It was a great day including Stake Conference. More pictures were taken, but not by us so hopefully whoever took them will send them too us (hint, hint, wink, wink).

I can't believe Zachary is one month old. I would venture to say he is probably about 11 pounds now. When we took him in on Monday he was 10 pounds 14 ounces. The nurse thought he might be just over 9 pounds and I had to laugh, because I knew better. Not my babies, once they start gaining weight watch out!

Bryce's first day of kindergarten was today. Wow what a day! The first day was only an hour long, but the whole day was sooo long. Here are a few pictures from his first day. He was really excited to start school, however, when we went to his new classroom he was pretty upset. He obviously thought he was going to go back to his old classroom with Teacher Kathy. He said, "I can't go in there, I don't know that one". It was pretty sad, he was hiding behind me, which is not like Bryce. Anyways, after I finally coaxed him into the room and his chair, he recognized his teachers from last year that were there to help acclamate them to their new surroundings. He did great after that. They got to ride the bus with all the kindergartners and the teachers around the parking lot and that's all Bryce remembers about today whenever we ask him about school. Well, we'll see how tomorrow goes when the bus comes to pick him up and he has his official full day of school. Wonder who will cry first? Mommy or Bryce?

Update

It's been about a week (or so) since I posted, but because Zachary is growing so quickly I feel like it's been forever. I just wanted to update some pictures. It's been a pretty crazy week. It was Jonathan's first full week back to work after summer break and it just happened to coincide with my family's vacation to Mexico. Which left me with Bryce and Zachary for a week during the day. Everyone is still alive so I think we did pretty well. After a long week of trying to get used to being sleep deprived again, Jonathan volunteered to get up with Zachary last night. Bottle feeding does have it's advantages. I was so grateful, because by the end of the week I was exhausted from getting up with him every night. Just takes some getting used to again, considering Bryce has been sleeping through the night for a long time. However, he has now started waking up and either falling out of his new bed, or having a bad dream about the "Polar Express", which is pretty funny. I finally told him last night that if he woke up and needed us instead of screaming at the top of his lungs for me to get his flashlight and come into my room. Well, not five minutes after I put him to bed he was in my room with his flashlight. He had forgotten to "check on me". I'm sure it's just a transition and he'll stop doing it eventually. I will say that even though my parents are out of the country we have gotten to talk to them several times, because they bought a Magic Jack, so they can call for free and I can call them for free as well, because they have a Utah phone number and with Comcast we have free long distance.

He's Finally Here!!

Baby Zachary (as Bryce would call him) is finally here! Zachary Ryan Love was born on Tuesday, August 4th at 3:27pm and weighed 8lbs 2ounces and was 20-1/2inches long. I went in to be induced Tuesday morning and arrived around 6:15AM to the hospital (that makes for a long day). Things went really smoothly, and by the time I asked for pain reliever they said I could just have my epidural instead. Which was nice because sometimes the pain relievers make me nauseous (especially on an empty stomache). I was able to have my epidural when I was dialated to 4cm, and after my Dr. checked me at lunch it was only about an hour and a half between a 5cm and 10cm and ready to go! It took a lot less time this time and instead of pushing for 2 hours like with Bryce, I only had to push for about 45 minutes tops. Zachary scored a 10 both times on the APGAR and was very vocal and active right away. He is a very content baby and is a really good eater (so far so good with the nursing this time around) and sleeps really well! He even seems to tolerate Bryce's antics. As soon as Bryce was able to hold him he reached down and "honked" his nose twice. He just knew that Zachary would appreciate that!!
